Returns and exchange

At www.cityprom.co.uk we strive to ensure all dresses are despatched after strict quality control checks. If however you are dissatfied for any reason, refunds and exchanges are hassle free. For a “goodwill” refund or exchange (i.e where there is no legal right to a refund or exchange under the Distance Selling Regulations or otherwise), after you have received your goods, you can return any dress to us for a refund, provided you have the ‘Parcel Summary’ document and you have contacted the returns department for an ‘unique return code’. Items must be returned in their ‘original condition’. This unique return code can be obtained via email at enquiries@cityprom.co.uk or by calling 07813133794, this code must be requested within 10 days and the items must be returned within 10 days of receipt of your goods. Please note ‘original condition’ implies the garment has not been worn, except to try on for fit and appearance. Note when trying on dresses please ensure that you are not wearing perfume or perfumed deodorant which may leave sent or marks. Ensure the wearer is clean and free from makeup, false tan and body odour when trying on the dress. Ensure the dress is tried on in a suitable location for example room free from food or drink, makeup and cosmetics, animals or smoke. A security label is attached to all our dresses. Please try on the dress prior to removing this label as, once this label is broken, removed or damaged, refunds can only be given in accordance with your legal rights. Should you need to return your dress, we ask that you return it with its hanger, protective covering and in its original outer packaging, with the return code clearly printed on the outside. Delivery charges will not be refunded, except in accordance with your legal rights. Once the garment has been received and inspected and all conditions have been satisfied the credit adjustment will be made to the credit, debit, card used as payment for the original order. Please allow 30 days for the adjustment on to the account. We will not accept returns without a ‘unique return code’ printed on the outside of the box. The item must be returned by Royal Mail ‘standard parcel service’ (remember the item must be received within the 10 day period) cost of the return postage fall with you the customer and not City Prom. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection we recommend you send the parcel with adequate insurance to insure you against the cost of the dress. Restocking fees Cityprom.co.uk charges a restocking fee equal to 10% of the cost of the dress which shall be deducted from the purchase price. This policy does not affect your legal rights under the Distance Selling Regulations or other legislation.

What are my rights under the Distance Selling Regulations?

If you are contracting with us as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after the day on which you receive the goods you ordered. If you have paid a delivery charge this will also be refunded but if you are only returning part of the order, then we are not obliged to repay any of the delivery charge. You must take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession and they must be returned to us promptly at your cost. You must inform us of the cancellation of the contract.

Delivery Services & Charges

We currently deliver to most addresses in the UK. For international deliveries or to Eire, Channel Islands or Post Office boxes. Please contact enquiries@cityprom with your full postal address including postal/zip codes for a precise postage cost. We do not deliver to shipping companies. A delivery is defined as one delivery to one address at one particular time.  Please note that if your order is delivered to multiple destinations, separate charges will apply for each address.  If no one is available at a residential or other address at the time of delivery, a note will be left to advise whether your order has been left in a safe place e.g. with a neighbour, or returned to depot. All risk in the products you order (including risk of loss and/or damage to the products) shall pass to you when they are delivered to the delivery address specified in your order. We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver products if the delay or failure is wholly or partly caused by circumstances beyond our control. In the UK, delivery charge refunds can only be made in accordance with your legal rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and other applicable legislation. Similar rights may apply for some international deliveries. For further information about your legal rights contact your local authority Trading Standards department or consumer advice centre (for example the Citizen’s Advice Bureau for UK customers).   UK Delivery  City Prom has chosen next day signed for delivery services for delivery to your home, work or another address. ·          Next day delivery Next day delivery cost from £10-£20 per dress,(dependent on the size of the dress) per delivery address and arrives next working day (Monday-Friday) if orders are received before 11am, and the product is in stock. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. All requests are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price by us. Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees warranties or representations made as to delivery times are limited to mainland up and are on the basis that we are not responsible for any delay in delivery occurring due to postal delays. Cityprom.co.uk is absolutely entitled to refuse any request made by you. If your order is accepted we will inform you by emailing you or else by calling you. We will also provide the identity of the party you have contracted with. This may be or in certain cases a third party. Where a contract is made with a third party cityprom.co.uk is not acting as either agent or principal and the contract is made between yourself and that third party. when making a request you undertake that all details you provide to us requesting goods or services or bids made at auction are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to make your request or bid and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods, services or bid. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to these details as soon as possible. Our returns policy. The cost of foreign products and services may fluctuate. Alternatively, you agree that the clause shall be rectified and interpreted in such a way that closely resembles the original meaning of the clause /sub-clause as is permitted by law. 13) governing law these terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with English and Welsh law and the courts of England and Wales or the jurisdiction in which you are resident or domiciled (at cityprom.co.uk election) shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between you and cityprom.co.uk, without regard to any choice of law provisions or private international law. you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the royal courts of justice, strand, London, uk, for any and all disputes relating to the terms of service, use of this web site or any linked site in the event that cityprom.co.uk com have elected England as the jurisdiction. 14) entire agreement the above terms of service constitute the entire agreement of the parties and supersede any and all preceding and contemporaneous agreements between you and cityprom.co.uk. Any waiver of any provision of the terms of service will be effective only if in writing and signed by the owner of cityprom.co.uk.
