As the dust settles: Looking back on prom season 2025–26

Another prom season has come and gone, and here at CityProm, we're taking a moment to catch our breath and reflect. From our first appointments back in October 2025 through to the final dresses walking out the door this June, it's been one of our busiest — and most beautiful — seasons yet. Here's a look back at the styles, the moments, and the memories that made this year so special.

A season of new beginnings

This year felt different from the start. We welcomed two brand-new labels to our collections — Amarra Prom, a fun and vibrant American brand bursting with sequins, tulle, and feather detail, and Tania Olsen Designs, arriving from Australia with a wide range of silhouettes and prices starting from just £399. Both quickly became firm favourites, sitting proudly alongside our existing collection from Ellie Wilde Prom.

Looking back, it's clear these additions gave this season's girls more choice than ever — and it showed in the sheer variety of styles that left our boutique between October and June.

The styles that stole the season

If we had to sum up 2025–26 in a handful of standout styles, it would be these:

  • ‍ ‍Sparkle took centre stage. Amarra's all-over sequin gowns and feather-trimmed statement pieces were some of the most tried-on, most talked-about dresses of the season — proof that for a lot of prom girls this year, more shine really was more.

  • Fitted silhouettes ruled the rails. We saw a genuine shift toward structured, boned bodices with stretch lace appliqué — flattering, comfortable, and beautifully suited to a huge range of body shapes. It's a trend we expect to keep gathering pace.

  • Elegant fabrics held their own. Not every girl wanted sparkle, and Ellie Wilde's exquisite beading on organza, Mikado satin, and delicate lace continued to be the choice for prom girls after something a little more timeless.

  • Colour got braver. Alongside the enduring classics of black and jewel tones, we watched more girls this season reach confidently for dusty pinks, deep emeralds, and rich berry shades.

Moments worth remembering

‍Beyond the dresses themselves, what makes each prom season special is always the girls and families who come through our doors. This year brought countless "yes to the dress" moments — that unmistakable look when a girl tries on the one and simply knows. We loved seeing so many of you tag us in your prom night photos, and we're just as proud every single time.

We also kept our promise of exclusivity throughout the season — one dress, one school, always — something we know matters as much to our CityProm girls as finding a dress they love.

Thank You, Prom Season 2025–26

‍To every girl who trusted us to help find her dress, and every family who spent an appointment with us — thank you. Seventeen years into this business, it still doesn't get old watching a girl walk out with the dress that made her feel completely, confidently herself.
