What colour prom dress shall I choose?

Prom dresses for the fuller figure don’t have to be black. Whilst black is super flattering, we also recommend, being bold in blue, racy in red and elegant in green. These jewel shades are perfect if you have a paler complexion. Whereas if you’re lucky enough to have a darker skin tone, the pastel shades of lilac, lemon and blush are great for you.

Ordered dresses in the collection can be ordered in any of the colours shown and in sizes 0-26. As each dress is specially made to order it’s worth remembering delivery can take up to 16 weeks making January the perfect time to order your prom dress if your prom is booked for June or early July.  

Due to the seasonal nature of prom and the fact that many customers are only available to visit City Prom at the weekends, we advise customers shopping on Saturdays to book as soon as possible by calling 07813 133794 or 029 20363582 or use our contact us link. Mid week appointments are also available and evenings too, again always by appointment. Please note as prom dresses are delicate, highly beaded and sometimes difficult to try on we do require under 18’s to be accompanied by an parent or guardian/adult at all times, and this person to secure the appointment.

A big trend for prom 2023 is sequins. Whether you're looking at show stopping colours like neon pink or tangerine or the elegant sophistication of navy, royal or emerald.
